3 Reasons to care about when buying iPad Pro (2020)
#iPadAirStoleMe
The iPad Air 4 has become such a great iPad that has a new modern design, awesome, processor, and more that people are questioning what's the point of buying the iPad Pro.
Here are 3 Reasons why!
1: UltraWide + Lidar
Both iPad Air and iPad Pro feature a 12-megapixel wide camera which is more than enough for an iPad. However, the iPad Pro includes a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera that zooms out two times to capture a much wider field of view. We see this on the iPhone 12s’ with a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera. This is best used on a smartphone as you are to more use this camera on a smartphone than your iPad so in reality, it's a bit overkill for me and I’d use the camera just for occasional photos and document scanning. But if you would use this camera to its best use, by all means!
The iPad Pro also has its own full-fledged Lidar scanner so if you use your iPad a lot for augmented reality for those specific use cases, that’s maybe where you might be swayed to buy the iPad Pro.
2. A Bigger iPad
With the iPad Pro, you have the options to pick between an 11-inch display or a 12.9" one. With the iPad Air, there is just a 10.9-inch option. It’s the 11" Pro but with bigger bezels, decreasing the screen size. For those looking for the biggest screen a high-end iPad can provide, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is the way to go. Many people want to turn their iPads into laptop-replacements so for those people, this relatively big size is beneficial to get that laptop feel and size.
3. 120Hz Promotion
Lastly, the Air lacks Apple’s ProMotion, 120 Hz refresh rate. Having that 120Hz fluid display is one of the key features that really stands out on the iPad Pro’s. Not only does it make the iPad feel snappier with quick responsiveness, but it also allows the refresh rate to drop down to match your content, saving battery life at the same time. Promotion is also what makes the iPad Pro by par the best tablet to write or draw on. The iPad Air’s 60Hz screen will have more than double the latency in the writing experience.
However, the latency of the Apple Pencil 2 is down to 9 seconds so it's not bad! But overall, 120Hz is the most important feature of all.
If any of these features aren’t important to you, then the iPad Air is the right one to go because it features all except these three. It has everything else that makes you adore the iPad Pro at a lower price!
